Data built by traders, for traders

Sports-IQ began with a simple idea: that the people who use sports data every day are the right people to decide what it should look like. Our work is shaped alongside Trading The Market, an organisation deep in professional trading practice, rather than designed by developers guessing at what a trader needs.

Why tennis

Tennis rewards detail. A match turns on a handful of points, the same two players can produce entirely different matches on different surfaces, and the things that decide it – how a player holds serve under pressure, how they return a particular kind of opponent, how they start – are measurable and almost never shown.

So this site measures them. Serve and return quality against a fixed reference population, the specific interaction between two players, whether a match should play serve-dominated or return-dominated, and how a player is performing relative to the standard of opponent they have actually faced.

Quality first

Accuracy is not a feature, it is the precondition for everything else. Ratings are computed from match history as it stood before the match in question, never after it, so nothing on this site has the benefit of hindsight. Where a rating cannot honestly be produced, nothing is shown – we do not substitute an estimate to fill a gap.

What we do not claim

Nothing here is a prediction, a tip, or a probability that a player will win. Our models describe how a match looks on the evidence available; they do not tell you what will happen, and we publish no aggregate hit rate, because a historical rate is not a live probability.

Trading involves risk. No tool removes it. What we can promise is good data, honest presentation, and a platform that keeps improving.
