What we collect
For an account: your name, your email address, and the password you choose, which is stored only as a one-way hash and cannot be read back by us or by anyone else. If you upload a profile photo we store that too; if you do not, we draw your initials instead and store nothing.
For everybody, account or not: a record of the visit – the pages opened, the time, the browser, and an approximate location derived from the IP address (country and city, not an address). This is what produces the live-sessions view we use to see whether the site is working and where it is being used from.
If you write to us through the contact form or Messages, we keep the conversation so we can reply to it and so you can read it back.
What we use it for
Running your account, replying to you, keeping the service working, and understanding which parts of the site are used. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Cookies
A session cookie keeps you signed in while you are here. If you tick “remember me” we set a second, longer-lived cookie so you do not have to sign in on every visit – it holds a random token, not your password, and signing out removes it.
Your display preferences – theme, text size, layout – are also remembered in your own browser. They never reach us.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe’s systems and never touch ours: we do not handle, store or have access to them. We keep a record that a subscription exists, its status and its dates, which is what decides whether your account has Pro access.
The tennis data itself
Player names, match results and statistics are sports data about public professional matches. They are not personal data about you, and nothing you do on the site is added to them.
Keeping it safe
We use industry-standard measures to protect information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration and destruction, and the systems are monitored and updated. Passwords are hashed, payment details never reach us, and access to the administration side is restricted.
Your control
You can see and change your details, replace or remove your photo, and change your password from your account page at any time. You have the right to ask for a copy of what we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have your account and its data deleted – ask through the contact page and we will act on it.
Changes to this statement
This statement may be updated from time to time. Where a change is significant we will say so on the site or by email rather than change it quietly.
